To better understand the time frame of this novel, you will create a slide show of life in the 1930's. This slide show will only use pictures, no words to depict your understanding of your research. You already researched information to find facts that help you gain insight on what life was like regarding the hardships people faced. Now you need to look for pictures to match your facts.

Gather eight images that you can tie to facts you recorded. Create a PowerPoint by placing one picture per slide, no words. Make sure all pictures used are from the Great Depression. Charts and graphs are fine, as long as they link to your facts. Then you need to record your facts in the presentation. In edit mode for PowerPoint, locate the notes section below the slide. That is where you will type your paragraph about what you will explain regarding that picture. Don't simply say, "This is a picture of a homeless woman and her kids." Tell me about homelessness during the Great Depression, hardships it put on families, and the effect of that on children. One slide will include multiple topics about this time period.

You are required to have eight picture slides to your presentation plus a title slide with your name on it and a works cited slide for a total of ten slides.

For your works cited slide, you MUST include the correct MLA citation. As you create the slide show, keep the website where you found the picture. Then go back and use Bibme.org or easybib.com to create the correct citation.
